Bicycle Helmet Safety Institute http://www.helmets.org/ is a great source of bicycle helmet safety information. The Florida Traffic and Bicycle Safety Education Program http://www.dcp.ufl.edu/centers/trafficsafetyed/ is a state-wide, comprehensive school- based program geared for teaching elementary and middle school children traffic savvy through classroom instruction and on-bike skills. The program teaches educators, youth leaders, and resource officers bicycle & traffic safety skills and rules of the road. They, in turn, teach children to act predictably and competently in traffic. The program is funded by the Florida Department of Transportation. The Florida Bicycle Association  http://www.floridabicycle.orgFBA is a not-for-profit member-driven organization created to inspire and support people and communities to enjoy greater freedom and well being through bicycling.
