The Florida Traffic and Bicycle Safety Education Program http://www.dcp.ufl.edu/centers/trafficsafetyed/ is a state-wide, comprehensive school- based program geared for teaching elementary and middle school children traffic savvy through classroom instruction and on-bike skills. The program teaches educators, youth leaders, and resource officers bicycle & traffic safety skills and rules of the road. They, in turn, teach children to act predictably and competently in traffic. The program is funded by the Florida Department of Transportation.
